Old Navy Does Designer

OK, the title of this post is a little misleading. Old Navy is not doing designer anything. BUT it's parent company, Gap, owns my go-to site for designer deals: Piperlime.

Piperlime sells shoes, bags, clothing and accessories from some of my favorite designers, including Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. They frequently have sales of up to 30% off sitewide, not to mention great deals in clearance and final sale.

But the real kicker? If you have an Old Navy, Gap or Banana Republic credit card, the reward certificates you earn while buying your basics can be used here. Plus, in the past year, Old Navy has really stepped up their game when it comes to earning points on your card.

You can currently get two points per dollar on any purchase outside of Gap brands through 5/31 (groceries, gas, restaurants, whatever). Before Christmas last year, they were offering 200 points for every outside purchase. Which means five purchases earned you $10. At one point, I racked up $50 in one billing cycle. Those kinds of rewards lead to deals like these:

Other Piperlime bonuses: free shipping & returns, and 10% off every Tuesday for Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy credit card holders. You can apply for an Old Navy credit card here. (Insert obligatory warning about being responsible about credit card debt here.)

So yeah. I'm kind of obsessed with this site. Links to Piperlime and other shopping sites I love are on the right side of the blog. I'm going to be doing in-depth posts with tips on each of them as time goes on.
